The Vintage Blend – Dark roast
This blend has been with us through it all. This is our first blend before Mariposa is what it is today. We proudly boast The Vintage as our signature house blend.
Consider the complex flavors and aromas as you first inhale the sweet earthiness and smokiness. Taste the carmel-molasses sweetness and dates. The dark chocolate and slight hint of smokiness is the perfect finish as a bold and heavy bodied espresso.
The Vintage is very tasty French Press as you have good balance between the oils and flavors, or makes a very good base for espresso drinks with milk.
Dozer’s Black and Tan Espresso Blend (Half Caf/Half Decaf)
Dozer, our beloved roastery companion – a half-Shepherd, half-Doberman rescue pup – is the inspiration to this blend. The science to the madness, you ask? We take a caffeinated coffee and roast it light. We then take a decaf coffee and roast it dark. Mix them together, and voila! An amazingly silky-smooth and mellow blend that takes the heat off of those wary of being too caffeinated, yet pleases those that need a little of that extra kick. Smell and taste the flavors of apricot as you take that first sip. Then, experience the dark-chocolate and vanilla wafer. Before you know it, the pleasantly crisp finish snaps you back to reality. This coffee is so smooth, you won’t realize how much you’ve drunk until your cup is empty! It is a well-balanced cup with good body. What better coffee than this to drink on a cold and rainy day? And better yet, a percentage of proceeds bought through this blend will be donated to Second Chance Animal Sanctuary. Dozer wants you to know how much he appreciates your support!
Amyie’s Blend – medium roast
So we couldn’t hold back. We had such great response from our Christmas Blend, it’s been asked to be a mainstay as a permanent blend! Who better to name it after than our very own Amyie? This coffee is a tiny embodiment of how she likes things to be: cozy.
There are notes of fruit and cozy spices. It’s not too acidic, but also not too muted and well balanced. There’s just the right amount of spice that’s not too overwhelming, but it goes down with a nice sweet and creamy finish. We hope you enjoy the sweet gingersnap taste, a smooth toffee and sweet chocolate body, a hint of cinnamon and nutmeg with a nice salted caramel finish. Definitely cozy, don’t you think?
